How to order on LitBuy, step by step
Updated: 6 Oct 2026
From a card in the LitBuy spreadsheet to a parcel at your door. Ordering through an agent has two payments: one for the items, one for shipping. Here is what happens at each step and what to check.
Create your account
Sign up on LitBuy with your email address and confirm it. Add your delivery address in the account settings straight away, with the name exactly as it appears on your doorbell or mailbox, because the carrier in Germany uses it. New-account shipping coupons, if available, appear in your account afterwards.
Pick finds from the sheet
Click “Buy via LitBuy” on a card in the LitBuy spreadsheet. The item opens on LitBuy with the seller’s photos, price and options. Before you add it to the cart:
- Choose colour and size from the options; the names are sometimes translated loosely, so compare them with the photos.
- Compare the seller’s size chart with a garment you own. Measure it flat and compare chest width, length and, for pants, waist and inseam.
- Leave a short note for the agent if something matters, for example “please check the size label”.
Pay for the items
Check out the cart. You pay the item price, the seller’s domestic shipping to the warehouse and any service fee shown at checkout. Use a payment method with buyer protection where you can, such as a credit card or PayPal if it is offered. Keep the payment receipt; customs may ask for it later.
Wait for the warehouse
LitBuy buys the item and the seller ships it to the warehouse in China. How long this takes depends on the seller: some ship within a day or two, others make items to order. Follow the status in your order list. If a seller is out of stock, the agent normally contacts you and you can choose another option or a refund.
Check the QC photos
When the item arrives, look at the warehouse photos. Use our QC checklist: compare colour and details with the listing, check the size label, look at seams, zips and prints, and look for stains or damage. If something is wrong, ask for more photos, an exchange or a return now, before shipping.
Submit the parcel
Once everything you want has arrived, select the items to ship together. Then:
- Choose a shipping line. The price depends on weight, volume and the line; some lines include duties and taxes, others don’t.
- Add packing options if needed, such as removing shoe boxes to save weight or extra protection for fragile items.
- Apply a shipping coupon if you have one; it is selected at this checkout.
Pay shipping and receive the parcel
Pay for shipping and follow the tracking number. For Germany, plan for 19% import VAT and the flat EU customs duty per item type; the shipping and customs guide has a worked example. The carrier either collects these on delivery or you collect the parcel from a customs office.
Ordering questions
Do I pay for shipping when I order the item?
No. The first payment covers the item, the seller’s shipping to the warehouse and any order fee. International shipping is paid later, when you submit the parcel.
Can I combine items from different sellers in one parcel?
Yes. Items from different sellers wait in the LitBuy warehouse until you select them together for one international parcel.
What if the item in the QC photos is wrong?
Ask for more photos, an exchange or a return before you submit the parcel. After the parcel leaves China, a return is rarely practical.
Do I need to speak Chinese?
No. LitBuy communicates with the seller for you. Pick colour and size carefully, because the options are often only described in the seller’s own words.
